You see, Big Data is causing management challenges for organisations and therefore, they are being forced to look for better ways to navigate in all the information they are collecting. To find a solution to the problem is not an easy task, since most organisations will see a 50% growth in the amount of data they hold during 2017. The problem also applies to high volume of emails that can seem close to unbearable to manage in today’s tech society, since over 200 million emails are sent every minute – thus, resulting in overloaded inboxes with time consuming recovery of specific information in emails.

What to manage how and how to manage what?

Because of the increase in incoming data, organisations get more and more challenged on how to manage the data. Especially with high volume emails, where it is not only the quantity of data that is important, but also how organisations manage to sort the emails. Organisations who work with Big Data in form of email data, usually face a certain consequence: Valuable time is lost because employees are scrolling through thousands of emails to retrieve the information they need. This causes employees to lose track of actual work, as they get distracted by the constant email flow. This becomes an issue since organisations are expected to respond to both internal and external sources in mannerly time, because in such environments, slow response can mean less business. Therefore, it is crucial to come up with a solution to manage Big Data, which also will result in a more effective workflow, where time is not wasted, and where actual work can be done.
